Echo of romance [Ecou de romanţă] - George Bacovia

No more views of the blue sky
And the spring went with a hum
And heart-breaking was my sigh,
You didn’t come!

And the summer, the hot night,
Off they went, the field was numb
Near the lime-tree I stood upright,
You didn’t come!

And the autumn went away
All the foliage did succumb
And I called you night and day,
You didn’t come!

Now the winter’s closing in
You won’t care what I’ve become
It’s too late, I’m cold within
So, do not come!
