The life of many people is amazing [Uşoare sunt vieţile multora] - Mihai Eminescu

The life of many people is amazing
They catch the fleeting pleasure in its flight,
At any time they have their moment bright
And every day the aurora on them is gazing.

Now, tell me, child, who all the time are dreaming,
Was I as lucky as these other guys,
Did you bestow on me the same good prize,
Were you to me a star forever living?

I was benumbed and I was lacking zeal,
My life was vain, I couldn't even smile,
And I was blind to all the sex appeal...

But suddenly, I saw you... for a while
The bitterness of humankind is real...
For now I know it and it feels hostile.
